I have spent the last six months consumed inside twitter streams. The connections, the friendships, the quality of advice, the sharing of that advice and the level of talent that participates still blows me away.

A Hashtag is an identifier… during the early days of Egypt’s recent uprising, many tweeters were using the hashtag –>> #Jan25 <<– … Info about Egypt was being tweeted by people as it was happening IRL (In Real Life) using #Jan25 … when you hear people on twitter learn about breaking news before the likes of CNN and the other big networks and agencies… this is why
A Hashtag is simply a stream of content, always 140 characters or less, that turns into a chat, discussion, debate, breaking news, education or whatever the participants want to make it.
A Hashtag is really nothing more than a stream of tweets that all have one identifying theme in common ->> the name of the stream with a hashtag ” # ” in front of it.
